Responsibilities Regarding Graduation: See Steps to a Successful Graduation
Final approved plans of study are due by the fourth week of the semester in which you are graduating. If you intend to complete your degree in the summer, you must submit final approved plans of study within the last four weeks of the spring semester.
Plans of Study are available from either your advisor or major department. Some departments have plans available on their websites. All Plans of Study must be signed.
Students should meet with their advisors before the student's last semester to finalize the Plan of Study. They should make three copies for (1) Student (2) Advisor (3) Degree Audit.
Nursing and Pharmacy students do not need Plans for their majors, but do need them for applicable minors.
If you are unsure if you have submitted your plan of study, please contact the Degree Auditing Office.
Refer to additional information in the Undergraduate Catalog.
Students can check remaining requirements by using the Degree Progress Advisement Report feature of the Student Administration System, located under: SA Self Service > Learner Services > Academics > View Degree Progress Report
If you have any questions about your Degree Progress Report, contact your Advisor, Dean's Office, or the Degree Audit staff in the Registrar's Office.
Auditing of your undergraduate academic records takes place during the semester in which you plan to graduate if you have applied for graduation and submitted an approved, final plan of study (required of all schools except Nursing and Pharmacy).
Auditing of undergraduate academic records is done by Degree Auditors in the Office of the Registrar. If you have any questions about the process, please contact that office.
You may file a diploma application the semester before your final semester. If you are unsure if you have submitted an application to graduate, please contact the Degree Auditing Office.
If you have already applied to graduate, but change your date of graduation, please contact the Degree Auditing Office.
The University has one commencement in May each year, following the Spring semester. Students who received degrees at the end of the previous summer or Fall semester and students who anticipate completing degree requirements by the May commencement or the following August may participate.
