NOTE: The fastest way to obtain one's official transcript is by requesting it through the Student Administration System. This option is only available to current students and former students who matriculated after 2002. For any students who matriculated prior to 2002, please submit the Transcript Request Form.
Unofficial Transcript Request
Unofficial transcripts cannot be requested over the phone. However, there are other options available to current and former students who want to obtain a copy of their unofficial transcripts.
Students matriculating after 2002:
You can view and print your unofficial transcript in your Student Administration account. Here are steps to guide you through this process. To log into your Student Administration account, please follow these instructions.
Students matriculating prior to 2002:
- Pick up unofficial transcript in person at the Registrar's Office at the Storrs Campus or any of the regional campuses.
- Submit transcript request form with your e-mail address or fax number as the recipient to the Registrar's Office at the Storrs campus
You do not have access to the Student Administration system. In order for you to obtain a copy of your unofficial transcript, you have the following options available to you:
If you would like a copy of your unofficial transcript e-mailed or faxed to you, please submit the Transcript Request Form with your e-mail address or fax number listed as the recipient. Once the form has been completed and signed, please return the form to the Registrar's Office.

Storrs & Regional Campus Students
Students at Storrs and the regional campuses can request official transcripts of their academic records by Student Administration System, mail or fax. Since we need your signature, we cannot accept phone requests. Regular e-mail requests are not acceptable, but those that include clear scanned or photographed images can be used.

MATRICULATED AFTER 2002
Students who matriculated after 2002 can request their official transcript through their account in the Student Administration System. You will be able to log into your account by using your NetID and password. To find your NetID and password, please link to the NetID homepage.
Once you have obtained your log in informtation, log into your account and please follow these steps to submit your request online: Request Official Transcript Online.
Once submitted, your transcript will be processed within one business day.
MATRICULATED PRIOR TO 2002
Students who matriculated prior to 2002 do not have access to the Student Administration system. In order for you to obtain your official transcript, you need to submit a written request or a completed Transcript Request Form to the Registrar's Office at the Storrs campus.
Request forms and written requests can be submitted to the Office of the Registrar by one of the following methods:

All written requests must include:
- full name (including any other names you may have used while attending)
- date of birth
- Seven digit ID number or NetID, if known
- dates of attendance
- complete and accurate addresses of transcript recipients including ZIP codes, and the requester's address and telephone number in the event that there is a problem with the request.
- a daytime telephone number in case of problem
- your signature
All requests must include the student's handwritten signature, as they will not be processed without one. There is no charge for transcripts.
Request forms are available and can be completed at the Registrar's Office, Wilbur Cross Building on the Storrs campus. These forms are also available at the regional campus registrars' offices for mailing or faxing to the University Registrar at Storrs.

NOTE: Transcripts requested to be sent directly to the student are stamped "Issued to Student in a Sealed Envelope" and the envelope bears a similar stamp and a facsimile signature. Students are cautioned that some recipients will not accept transcripts that have not been sent directly to them.

Requesting Transcripts in Person
Current and former students are welcome to come to the Registrar's Office at the Storrs campus to request their official transcripts in person. Students will need to present a photo I.D. before obtaining the official transcripts. The maximum limit of transcripts to receive in person is 5. If you wish to request more than that, please call the Storrs Registrar's Office 24 hours in advance to make arrangements for transcript pickup.
Unofficial transcripts can be obtained in person at Storrs or any Regional campus. Students will need to present a photo I.D. before obtaining the unofficial transcripts.
Mailed Transcripts: Express Options
Transcripts are sent out only by US Postal Service first class mail, but students can choose to mail their transcripts using an express service
If you would like to send your transcripts using FedEx express service, the FedEx account number needs to be included on the transcript request form. Please be sure to include your shipping preference on the form, as well. To open up a FedEx account, please visit their website. Other carriers available are UPS and DHL.
For the Priority/Express Mail service through the US Postal Service, the request must be accompanied by a pre-paid and pre-addressed Express Mail/Priority Mail envelope. All arrangements must be made by the requestor.
